Potential Performance Increase

Now for those of you who are already scraping the bottom of the barrel for graphics performance increasers or having been gaming for awhile, you probably already know that the lower quality graphics you set your settings to, the better off you are. This includes disabling things like bloom, conversation depth of field, etc, etc.

However one thing that I found http://sithwarrior.com/forums/Thread-SWTOR-Low-Framerate-Issues?page=2 <here, was that even if you have set your graphics to the lowest of the low settings you may not be getting your fps's worth.

The weird and almost nonsensical fix that worked for me and other people in that thread was the following.

Open your graphics tab and set the graphics preset to high, now hit apply.

After your computer has a brief heart attack, set the preset to low, disable bloom and conversation depth of field, and then turn shadow quality to OFF.

Hit apply once more.

This should increase your game's fps and for me it made pvp and flashpoints smooth again, let us know if this works for you!

  1. I find myself having to redo this after most patches to keep benefiting from it. Strange indeed!
