I've ruined countless gnome skin boots in Stranglethorn Vale waiting for it to rain so a Baby Ape will spawn. I've developed a chronic cough from all the sand in my lungs loitering in Tanaris for Silithid Hatchlings to unburrow during a sandstorm. I've set up camp for days under hostile circumstances in Arathi Highlands waiting for a Tiny Twister to show its face while Refuge Point guards try to sabotage my efforts.

All this and I thought I was prepared, but nothing could prepare me for these words:

Pet Battles: The Darkmoon Faire!

It's that time of the month again! If your mind didn't automatically think of the Darkmoon Faire then you obviously haven't been hanging around us long enough.

Come join me in taking down that pompous top-hat Jeremy Feasel on the faire grounds. As Horde you can take the portal located just outside Thunderbluff. But if you're Alliance you can just [EXPLETIVE REMOVED]. JUST KIDDING! I'm pretty sure the portal for Alliance is located in good old Goldshire, just outside of Stormwind.

Wild Pandaria: Flowing Pandaren Spirit

The Flowing Pandaren Spirit marks our fourth and final stop on our tour of the Pandaren Spirit Trainers. One more battle and you can claim supremacy over those "illiterate mongrels", as Bheez likes to say... to us. Hooray! With the right lineup this fight is no contest.

Wild Pandaria: Burning Pandaren Spirit

A few things I kept in mind when selecting and testing my lineups were; availability, pet level, replay value, and their likelihood to succeed. My lineups aren't necessarily for the people that truly LOVE pet battling, you know the ones that are methodically working through their pet journal and replacing all their lesser quality pets with rares- then leveling them to 25 (totally not me), although they would surely find success with these comps. This mini-series was to target and help people that are a little more casual about the whole experience. 'Cause, really, I think everybody deserves a shot at some cool pet skins! Never let it be said that I am not an equal opportunity collecting enthusiast. 

Now that we've got that out of the way, on to the fight!

Wild Pandaria: Whispering Pandaren Spirit

It used to be popular (and maybe it still is) to "carry" a lower level pet through these high-end trainer battles to get some big XP upon success, obviously assuming your low level pet didn't get KO'd during the encounter. I've tried that strat on most of the trainer battles in Pandaria, and in my opinion it isn't an effective way to level a pet if you're going for speed. 

With the exception of this particular trainer!

Wild Pandaria: Thundering Pandaren Spirit

I've heard from various sources around the internet that this battle seems to be the most difficult of the four you need to complete the Pandaren Spirit Tamer quest. 

Personally, I haven't found that to be true and here's why:

So you finally got a team of three of your favorite (or maybe at this point not so much) pets to 25, congrats! If you have been dutifully defeating pet trainers all over Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Outlands, and Pandaria along the way then you probably have a quest to defeat the Pandarian Spirit Trainers in your log and it's high time you knocked them out! No, put the bat down that's not what I meant...

Moon Guard FlagRSP Version 2.NO

While mindlessly running through The Barrens on a low level Horde some months back, I decided to head over to Lushwater Oasis to catch some Deviate Fish.

The only thing I caught that day were two Alliance from Moon Guard doing some recreational swimming.

Wheeeeeeeeeelp. Time to take a trip down memory lane and explore the wonderful world of run-on sentences, ominous Latin words, and Adjective Abusers Anonymous.

Shirley's Birthday Extravaganza!

Whoa that title sure is setting the bar high. But you should know better than to get your hopes up by now.

There were a few minor setbacks in getting ready for the celebration tonight, namely the Darkmoon Faire being out of town. Otherwise we would have hired a few clowns for the first act. But instead of cancelling the entertainment, we soldiered on in true Team Vashj form!

Our first offering of the night involves an interpretive dance in honor of Shirley's Day of Death!

Where in the World is Team Vashj??

It always seems about this time of year Team Vashj is absent from posting. Well we have legitimate reasons! ...Ok, SOME of us have legitimate reasons..

And, predictably, I am not one of them. I've been pretty lazy, and absorbed in raising dragons IRL (to those of you interested in raising your own dragon, please note they tend to breath more than just fire, especially if their dinner includes baby corn).

I tried to persuade Shirley into posting while I cleaned up after my dragon but she stockpiled chocolate after the holidays so she's not desperate enough to take my bribes. She's also become unreachable, I am told she may be in a sugar coma after an over consumption of expired sweets while on a 48 hour pet-battle bender in the Darkmoon Faire in an attempt to capture the elusive rare Darkmoon Faire Crow. Curse your chocolate hearts and a pox on your cream filled chocolate eggs!!

Kitty Got Hacked in GW2?!

While Glynnia and I were squatting in Snowden Drifts poaching Quaggans, our favorite nutcracker (Kitty!) logged on - well, who we thought was Kitty. Apparently someone hacked into her account. Per usual, Glynnia (agitated from round two of Girl Scout Cookies), started to 'professionally' inquire to cease and desist, but the hacker played dumb(er than even Glynnia).

Happy Singles Awareness Day!

AKA - Valentine's Day. I figured the title was appropriate considering last year you probably forgot all about Valentine's Day and tried to pull a fast one by re-gifting something to your sweetheart at the last minute to save your sorry hide only to realize when said sweetheart opened the "gift" it was something they gave to you on Christmas. Totally not speaking from experience here.

Anyway! We all know the REAL love for Valentine's Day happens the day after, because all the heart themed chocolates are half off!

Hope you're spending today with your loved ones, single or not. I know I am!

Team Vashj tries their luck in the Fractals of the Mists

You know, sometimes I have good ideas. I'm not saying this is one of them. I'm just saying... sometimes I have them.

So now that we got that out of the way let's discuss this particular idea. Team Vashj (aka: da Cuddwy Kwoo) decided the time was right to jump into some of the "end game" offerings in Guild Wars 2. Why not? We're all level capped and Kitty's internet connection drama seems to have worked itself out... What sort of end game offerings you may ask? Well the sort that usually requires a full group of five people that have some understanding of their class abilities and what to expect in scripted combat.

 We have four part-time clueless, but full-time full-throttle players that wanna see this "end game" shat anyway.

Bravost Escarpment: The Rematch

Last night the Cuddwy Kwoo set out on yet another Mission: Impossible. With their sights set on Bravost Escarpment they bravely marched forth against the forces of Emery Bay and Dragonbrand to battle it out. Who will arise victorious and claim Bravost Escarpment for their guild?

It's already been a whole day since Guild Wars 2 shoveled the snow, packed up the tree, and took down the lights (things I haven't done). Lion's Arch just isn't as exciting without all those jerks pelting me with snowballs every time I run through. So to fill the void I bring you the third installment of "How to World Vs. OK FINE- Mostly because I finished it a couple days ago and I hate having things just sitting around... which is exactly why the chocolate is gone as well.
